Stubton Hall – Robin & Harriet
We love nothing better than a good old fashioned wedding out in the beautiful English countryside. And when we first paid a visit to the beautiful Stubton Hall with our couple Robin and Harriet a few months before their wedding, we knew we were going to be in for a really special day.
Our first meeting with the couple in their home a year or so before the wedding was a chance to get to know each other as well as for them to paint a picture of their day for us. Picture part English stately estate, part enchanted forest but above all a celebration of family, friendship and love.
While Harriet and her bridesmaids got ready at the venue in the opulent bridal suite, the groom was preparing for one of the more extravagant entrances we’ve ever seen at a wedding. Robin and his entourage arrived by helicopter which Robin himself had a hand in flying in towards the venue. Talk about arriving in style!
The ceremony was a wonderful emotional affair capped off with an amazing rendition of Blue by Eiffel 65. This followed with drinks, photographs and some musical accompaniment by the super talented Richie Phillips.
The main hall at Stubton Hall was dressed to impress with an array of beautiful greenery and flowers adorning the tables and all corners of the room. A spectacular setting indeed. The spectacle was however far from over. After another helicopter trip around the venue (because why not?) and some more excellent tuneage from Mr Phillips, the evening was capped off literally with a bang. Robin had planned a special surprise for Harriet with an amazing firework display overlooking the spectacular vista of the lake on the grounds of the hall.
This was an unforgettable day and a testament to the couple’s planning and imagination of what was a memorable event that we aren’t soon to forget.
